Dr. Aloys Martial EKOE AKATA is a Senior Lecturer and Research Fellow for Renewable Energy Technology and Sustainable Building at the Faculty of Science of the University of Douala. He has over 8 year's research experience in Building Integrated Photovoltaic Thermal (BIPV/T), Future Zero or Plus Energy Building Consumption, Phase change material, Exergy and Life Cycle Costing, low carbon building energy technologies and sustainable building design. His research focuses on various aspects of sustainable building services and envelops with the aim of achieving high efficient plus energy building technologies. He is currently worked in the assessment of indoor air quality by the introduction of PCM on the structure of the building envelope with the Institut Energie am Bau (EBAU) of the University of Applied Sciences Northwest Switzerland.

Dr. Aloys Martial EKOE AKATA is the Leader of the Energy and Sustainable Building Group which he created 3 years ago and in which students can make the link between academic research and their integration into the professional world. He has created a professional master's degree on renewable energy at the Faculty of Science of the University of Douala since the academic year 2020/2021 where he is the academic director of the program. He is the person responsible for helping students to find their way in companies. Since 2019, He developed and obtained a signed agreement for a Staff / Student Exchange cooperation in the context of Erasmus+ programme between the Science Faculty of the University of Douala, Cameroon and the University of West Attica, Greece.
